About the Blogger

If you should find your way here across the vast ocean that we call the Internet, Welcome! Before we really get started though you should perhaps know a bit about me. What's my angle? What's driving me? Why do I think the way I do? Who sways my thinking?

I'm just a girl. A very socially awkward girl who doesn't like talking to people. Here, I am not so muchly talking directly at someone but to my computer, you just consequently might read it. It's more like writing in a journal that your pesky sibling always reads. Despite the fact that I don't like people much I still have ideas about the way things are versus the way I think they should be. What I think could make things better.

Most of which I do not consider to be political. I find them to be common sense or they just seem "natural" to me. Power is what makes them political. I don't care about power though. I have no interest in having any power nor in giving anyone any.

I think in a very plain, logical, unemotional kind of way. I think in terms of Ole Albert Einstein whom said that if you could not explain it simply, then you do not understand it well enough yourself. Why does everything have to be so complicated? What's with the mile long red tape? Why a bajillion laws to clarify a single law? Simple. That's where it's at. That's where we need to be.

I don't follow politics. Yup. I am starting a political blog as if politics is some kind of passion of mine and yet I don't have the slightest clue as to the who's, what's, where's, and why's of this three ring circus. I feel this adds to my unique perspective. I'm not weighted down. Don't get me wrong. I vote. During this last election year I watched all the debates. I watched both parties conferences. I did my research and I followed my inner beacon. I do not, however, listen to talk radio, read political mumbojumbo, and I most certainly do not follow ANY media. I do not need to be told by people, who are paid to think what they think, what I should be thinking.

I find that most often people are taught to think certain ways. They are taught to not think for themselves. The result is a hive mentality. They become part of the drone. My brain works just fine. It's capable of making deductions on its own. Have you ever watched the movie Patch Adams? It's a real life story about a man who becomes a doctor. He gets sent in front of the board and he turns to the students present and tells them, Don't let them teach you how to not be human any more. So, there are others out there who have seen that they are teaching us to follow their rules and to play their game. Here's a secret:
YOU DON'T HAVE TO!

What will be found on these pages is not likely to be what you've heard on the news. If I don't watch the news, how do I know that? Clearly, if they thought how I did, things would be different around here.

Thinking outside the box is how you make advancements. None of our modern comforts would be here if it wasn't for that. Don't just reject something that is different. Truly consider it. Its implications. The ripples it would produce. Let's sit down and think. Create some ideas.

That unique perspective I mentioned? It's not THAT unique. Surely it's uncommon, but not unheard of. Some of it may be a bit unseemly, but have you looked around the world today? Clearly what we are currently doing isn't working. So, why not open up our point of view. Think broader. It's about time for some out of the box thinking.

I swear no loyalty to any party. My loyalty is where it belongs. To ME! I will teach you what that means. How you too can be a member of the You party. Throw aside the Democrats, the Republicans, the Green and the Tea. There is a new party in town that promises to always have YOU at the center of their interest.

If I am typically a non political kind of person, why am I starting a political blog? Regardless as to how anti-social I am, I am still a part of the same world as everyone else is. My Facebook news feed gets blown up just as much as everyone else's does with politics and current events. What happens down in Washington impacts my life too. Really though, I'm tired of the whining, the fighting, the right side and the wrong side. No one is out there actually DOING anything. So, let me do my part by throwing out some ideas.

What is the "Box":

The box is where the Government in power puts us. We are told that we are divided. That this party or that party is out to harm us. That one is right and the other is wrong. They place us in boxes so that we can't see what's really going on. I don't believe them. Any of them. They're all wrong. So what am I going to do? I'm going to ask you to please, just look over the edge of the box, and if you can be brave; you just go ahead and come on out here with me.

Rules to commenting on any post in this blog:

1) There is only one rule. Keep your comments directed at yourself. You are more than free to disagree with me or with any comments. However, if you cannot disagree without name calling, belittling, or using any form of hostile degrading speak then your point is clearly not strong enough to stand on it's own and will be deleted. Likewise, if you cannot agree without running down your opposing man...your point too is invalid. Talk about yourself. What YOU think, what YOU feel, and we'll all be happy. Bring something other than just that you don't agree. What would YOU do then if what I would do is "wrong"?

GOAL:

I will do my best to once a week write a new post on either a political talking point or current event. I am very busy, but hopefully once a week won't be too much.

Now, let's get out of this blasted box!
